CANADA'S PACIFIC NORTHWEST

Canada's Pacific Northwest, as the window to Asian Pacific markets, is poised to become a global energy powerhouse.  Currently there are major project and investment opportunities worth over $60 billion planned for the region.  There is a vital and pressing need to develop both commercial relationships and the necessary infrastructure to get liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the West Coast for shipping to offshore markets.  This gas will then be loaded onto vessels bound for international consumers.

As the Pacific Northwest energy sector grows, many skilled workers will be required.  Human resource shortages are looming.  The Town of Kitsault, located in northwestern British Columbia, foresees much of its future economy based on maximizing its physical infrastructure while at the same time investing in human resources.  Increased employment opportunities in Kitsault will benefit many neighbouring cities, towns and communities.
